I wonder if she ever felt that intensity of feeling- the fire in your chest that burns until you're pure, goes beyond hurt, beyond hope, turns the iron in the soul to steel...

It is white fire, and although I can't claim to know everything, I believe its only fuel is whatever purity remains to us, to love so deeply and so strongly and with such protectiveness that death is no barrier and hell would be crossed barefoot with unwavering purpose, and to hate the slaughter and hurt and destruction of innocents until it heats us to burning with the desire to cleanse the earth of that rarest of true evils. I believe only these two things can be wielded by mortals and still called righteous. All others are shadows.
